Got this for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loved it...loved the color. Hasn't had a lot of time to play it yet but my husband (who is a guitar player) tuned it for her and she started strumming immediately. We also got her some cool song books so I'm sure she will be playing in no time. It's nice that it comes with the bag and extra strings. We almost bought a 30" guitar but I am glad we went with the bigger guitar because I think the 30" would have been too small for her and she is not a big child.

Let me make this short...The paint job is not what the picture shows..it was way lighter and not as rich in the picture...This really upset my daughter...The guitar arrived and you can clearly see it was all white then spray painted all around in a very Poor/Crappy you get the idea...The coloring was done so poorly that there were still paint drips on it...NOT very appealing...Also..it was damaged had several chips and nicks...this was after I pulled it out of the box...I read the previous reviews and was looking forward to getting a nice guitar that my daughter would enjoy but...I was obviously mistaken... :(

I received this guitar, wrapped in nothing but cardboard, which is not sufficient support for an instrument. It looked like it had been scratched due to shipping, but besides that, there way no was this guitar could be 'new', it looks years and years old. It had many worn spots, dull spots, scratches all throughout the body of the guitar, pits and dents in the paint, and worse. It's a nice little guitar, a little flimsy, but OK for the price I knew I was paying IF the product was in fact new, and not used before. I wouldn't order this item if it says 'new' and you are expecting it to be new and will be disappointed when it arrives not only dinged and beat up, but obviously not new! If you don't mind paying this price for an item that's totally worn out, it's a nice little guitar for a beginner.

I give this 4/5 stars because the description is incorrect. It is a great guitar for a beginner, but it DOES NOT include an instructional DVD or a Gig Bag (as the description states). If those had been included, I would have gotten 5 stars. Great Tone, Great Features, Fender online guitar training rocks (so you really don't need the dvd). Good Buy for the price, just make sure you buy a gig bag too.

I had been thinking about playing the guitar for many years but had never acted on it. While surfing Amazon on my new laptop I saw the deals on the guitar packages and I made my move. I picked a name that I knew and a style that I liked and it all came together in this great package. I consulted with friends of mine who do play and they all agreed that this was a great deal. I had a small issue with not receiving all of the items that were shown to be included with this package, but Amazon and Fender came through eventually and I got them all. It is a simple instrument with a good sound. The DVD is very easy to follow and I plan on purchasing the full length version offered on Amazon. I still consider myself a rank amateur at playing but I'm enjoying learning more every time I pick it up and tune into my DVD. I would strongly recommend that anyone wishing to start out on electric guitar take a strong look at this item.

I got this pack at a local Best Buy for about $140 on clearance, and it is a great BEGINNER pack. Just for getting a feel of a guitar and how it works, this pack was the best purchase I could have made.
